Who and what is Bev Jardine?

 

Bev Jardine Virtual Assistant services is a small but growing online business currently offering virtual assistant services, that helps online entrepreneurs reduce their overwhelm by offering online (virtual) administration services.

This includes tasks such as preparing newsletter templates and scheduling them, helping with social media graphics, repurposing content for use across social media, proofreading things such as newsletters, blog posts, reports etc, coordination of project activities, writing standard operating procedures (SOPs), transcription, online research, email inbox support and really just about anything that I feel I can help my clients with, I will! I LOVE finding solutions to things and you should too!

I offer services packages that give creative entrepreneurs and small business owners the freedom and flexibility to focus on the things they love doing, while we take care of the rest.

Your Role:

 

+ As a virtual assistant with me, I will ask you to perform specific tasks or projects, either for my business or my clients

+ You will be responsible for your own tasks and ensuring they are being completed and delivered by the deadlines

+ Helping me to keep clients tasks under control and making sure nothing slips through the cracks

+ Helping me with my business task list

+ Your tasks will be given to you via an online project management tool which you must use at all times

+ This position will be working directly with me, Bev Jardine

+ You will need to maintain strong communication with me at all times

Your Specific Responsibilities:

 

The role will start with assisting me setting up my business systems and also some client work, including but not limited to:

+ Writing standard operating procedures (SOPs)

+ Preparing newsletter templates & scheduling them

+ Proofreading: such as newsletters, blog posts, reports etc.

+ Content management: writing, editing and repurposing copy for newsletters, autoresponders, blogs, websites, and social media

+ Social media: helping with graphics, scheduling and management

+ Coordination of ad-hoc project activities

+ Email inbox support

+ Transcription

+ Online research

+ Travel Bookings

+ Really just about anything that I feel I can help my clients with, I will!!!

+ You have excellent English (proficient spoken and written)

+ You are comfortable working online and learning new tools quickly

+ You are organized and can follow procedures

+ MUST have excellent attention to detail

+ 100% comfortable using the internet

+ You enjoy solving problems

+ You can easily handle multiple tasks, projects, and clients simultaneously

+ You know what Gmail, Google Drive and Dropbox are used for

+ You enjoy systems, and also writing and documenting processes and procedures (SOPs)

+ You enjoy working on your own but are also comfortable with a constantly evolving job

+ You’re tech-savvy who doesn’t ask “how”, instead you arm yourself with Google and online tutorials to figure it out and get it done

This Position is NOT for you if:

 

+ You don't have unlimited access to the internet and a laptop/computer

+ You don’t thrive on systems, procedures, automation, and streamlining wherever possible

+ You don’t feel confident to create a rapport with online professionals

+ You prefer to work in a closely monitored environment with lots of check-ins

+ You are looking to grow your own business and get as many clients as possible

+ You are not strong in time management and tend to take on too much

+ You are trying to figure out your next career direction and using this as a stepping stone

 

Commitment:

+ The role will involve working from my office in Salt Rock to start but can transition to you working from your own home if necessary with mandatory weekly/bi-weekly in-person catch-ups 

+ You must have access to a comfortable home office, laptop, and STRONG internet connection

+ This is an independent contractor position and you will be required to invoice me monthly for the hours you have worked (you will track your hours using the same online hourly tracking system that I use)

+ You must be located in Ballito and surrounds, and be legally allowed to work

+ Position requires part-time, hourly work during an initial three month trial period with me. Initially, 12 hours per week will be required working on Monday - Thursday 9am-12pm (SAST)

+ Potential for growth and more hours once the trial period is completed
