I’m NOT your personal assistant
I’m NOT your personal assistant.
I’m not here to arrange for your clothes to be laundered, your favourite take-away meal to be ordered or for your child’s birthday gift to be purchased.
I don’t know why, but for the longest time when these two words … Personal Assistant … have been used to describe me, it’s made my skin crawl.
I have nothing against the term or the profession, it’s just not what I believe I am or the service I now offer. I just feel the more traditional view of a Personal Assistant is a little outdated for me. I used to be one when I was an employee. But I’m not anymore.
So what am I?
I help women creative entrepreneurs avoid overwhelm by working behind the scenes and helping you build the foundation of your business using my skills and talents of what I do naturally as someone who gets stuff done.
Imagine a typical day for you goes something like this:
ββ Wake up.
π§βπββοΈπβπ« Exercise/Meditate/Journal/Gratitude work/Plan for the day or the week.
πΏππ Shower, breakfast, get ready for the day.
πππ Open up your laptop, get started working on the day’s task list.
ππ§ You put your creative hat on π .. your favourite hat! It’s time to be inspired and write that weekly blog post, or other piece of content. Once you’ve written your content, it needs to be loaded onto your WordPress site, shared on Facebook, and added to Instagram. You may even want to share it as a newsletter.
π Quick check of your calendar to ensure your clients have booked in their coaching calls for the month and follow-up with those that haven’t.
π Next, you need to hop on a coaching call, so drop what you’re doing and get your coaching hat on quick!
π Coaching call is finished. Now you need to follow up with your client and send the resources you’ve just discussed during the call, so you don’t forget!
ππ°π© Next, it’s time to check your payments … so, back to your business-owner hat. You need to check weekly that any payments due have been received or payment plans are successfully being paid with no defaults.
π₯π©βπ¨π Time for a quick Facebook Live .. creative hat on!
ππ©βπ» Back to business, time to answer a few emails that have been sitting in your inbox for a few days. The usual enquiries, a client needs to reschedule, a missed coaching appointment, a resource is needed. Fantastic, you see a new enquiry has come into your inbox and you need to hop on a quick call with them to see if you’re a fit!
π΅ππ Sales hat on! Brilliant, you’re both a fit and you have a new client! It’s time to start your on-boarding process: write up the contract, send the contract, create a reminder to ensure the contract get’s signed and returned, once returned, you also need to check once the funds have been received and then follow up with their welcome email.
ππ Next up is the launch you’re planning. You were meant to work on it earlier, but the new enquiry took precedence. It’s only 2 months away and there’s still A LOT that needs to be ironed out for the funnel. You also need your new personal brand pictures to be arranged, the new brand mood board from the graphic designers is still outstanding, you need to liaise with your web developer for the new sales page, the content for the launch and the email automation sequence needs to be written ……ππππ
And it’s lunch time! …………………………………
Wouldn’t it be better for your day to go something like this:
β Wake up.
π§βπββοΈ Exercise/Meditate/Journal/Gratitude work/Plan for the day or the week.
πΏ Shower, breakfast, get ready for the day.
π©βπ» Open up your laptop, get started working on the day’s task list.
